Muscle Truffles: Double Chocolate Nut Protein Balls

  • 1 cup organic raisin bran

  • 1 cup natural peanut butter

  • 1/4 cup buckwheat honey

  • 1 cup organic cocoa nibs

  • 1/8 cup cocoa powder

  • 1 cup raisins

  • 1 cup almonds


Blend until smooth in food processor. Add.

  • 4 scoops Vanilla Whey Powder


Blend until combined.

  • 1/8 cup water (if necessary)


Roll heaping tablespoon of mixture into balls.  Keep refrigerated.

So yummy they taste not unlike a chocolate peanut butter cup.  More goodness equals less guilt.  Sure to keep you on the ball all day mentally at work and later on your fit ball at the gym.  The perfect after gym treat when you need to replenish your protein and you crave a sweet reward.  I've given them to friends without telling them that they are healthy and they have commented on how delicious they taste.

You can make this big batch and they usually last my son and I a week.  Making a big batch also means that you won't be caught without a sweet treat and be tempted to make a less healthy choice.  Also the bigger the batch means only the one time you have to clean-up.  These easy to make Muscle Truffles will give you all the energy you need to keep up with the demands of life.
